Our evidence hierarchy
- Official NZ rules.Use DIA and legislation for market eligibility and the regulatory transition. A commercial website is not the source of NZ law.
- Current operator terms.Check the exact promotion, payment policy, company identity and country restrictions. Preserve the conditions attached to a number.
- Regulator records where verified.Distinguish a licence claimed in an operator footer from a register check. This edition labels operator claims and does not assert universal register verification.
- Promotional records.Use the requested data source for logos and reported offers, but resolve conflicts transparently rather than treating a feed as the full terms.
- Competitor pages.Use them to identify questions and presentation gaps. Where they supply missing figures, label those figures as secondary reports and preserve uncertainty, currency conversions and conflicting conditions. A comparison record is not first-party verification.
What each mini review covers
Games and Software identifies source-supported categories, providers and notable limitations. A game count is published only with adequate evidence; a global catalogue is not treated as a local catalogue.
Bonuses and Promotions separates the first deposit from a package total and records currency, turnover basis, expiry, maximum bets and cashout caps where available. Illustrative arithmetic is explicitly labelled.
Payment Methods distinguishes deposits from withdrawals, qualifying bonus deposits from cashier minimums, and approval time from settlement. Unverified information is not presented as zero fees or instant service.
Pros & Cons draws from the actual evidence. If no advantage is verified, we say so rather than filling the section with generic praise.
Where the editorial ratings come from
The comparison cards display imported editorial scores out of 5 from the reference comparison supplied for this edition, checked on 28 October 2026. They are external editorial opinions, not scores calculated from our documentary research, player-review averages or results of hands-on testing by this publication.
How a score is matched to an operator
Each score is matched to the operator name and the relevant casino, crypto or sports category. Where the reference publishes different casino and sportsbook scores, the sports comparison uses the sports score. General casino pages and combined operator profiles use the casino score where available, followed by the crypto score, then the sports score. The source's desktop and mobile values were checked for agreement.
The gold bar displays the imported value as a proportion of 5. For example, 4.9 out of 5 fills 98% of the bar. List position remains the supplied commercial order and is not recalculated from these scores.
Missing scores and limits
The reference provides scores for 34 of the 36 operators in this edition. Casinonic and Ricky Casino have no matched reference score and display Not rated. We do not substitute a zero, estimate a score from list position or retain an unrelated documentation score under the imported-rating label.
We have not independently validated the reference publisher's scoring formula. A high score does not confirm current NZ eligibility, licence status, bonus availability or withdrawal performance. The review's sourced conditions and restrictions remain separate from the score. These imported opinions are not marked up as customer aggregate ratings.
How bonus amounts are shown in NZ dollars
Cash bonus figures use NZ$. Where the original offer is in euros or cryptocurrency, ≈ NZ$ identifies a comparison estimate. Conversion does not create an NZD account offer, change the original promotion terms or establish New Zealand eligibility. An unspecified dollar currency is not guessed.
New conversions in this edition use the reference rates below, rounded to two decimal places. Older converted figures already present in the research remain explicitly labelled historical estimates; these have not been silently repriced without their original currency amounts.
| Original unit | NZ-dollar reference value | Reference date and source |
|---|---|---|
| One euro | NZ$1.9552 | 27 October 2026 · European Central Bank |
| One bitcoin | NZ$145,296 | 28 October 2026 snapshot · CoinGecko Bitcoin/NZD |
| One Tether token | NZ$1.78 | 28 October 2026 snapshot · CoinGecko Tether/NZD |
Cryptocurrency prices fluctuate and provider conversion spreads or fees may change the amount received. A local-currency cap and a crypto cap may be alternative offers; adding them together would misrepresent the package.
What “Best for” means in a mini review
These headings identify the feature or comparison task that each review focuses on, using the documented catalogue and promotion terms. They are editorial use-case labels, not awards from hands-on testing or proof that an operator beats every competitor. Reported game categories remain labelled as such in the review. A restrictions-focused heading is not a recommendation to open an account.
Updates, contradictions and correction priorities
Priority checks are market eligibility, country exclusions, operator identity, active promotion terms and withdrawal restrictions. Conflicting sources are described in the review. The latest-looking page is not automatically decisive if its currency or jurisdiction is wrong.
Future updates should check the source again, record what changed and revise the page’s date only after a substantive review. Until a scheduled update system exists, the publication does not promise daily monitoring. See how to report a correction.
